Creative Memories Border tutorial

Create a scalloped edge border using the CM circle cutting system. (You could also easily adapt this method to use the circle cutter as well) if you change out the circle in the system to the triangle or diamond you will get a chevron style cut border. Great instructional video.. but what size square if you want to glue a photo to the back side? I have one of Kiwi Lanes templates, but need the paper size.. I guess I could measure it, but I'd rather not have to monkey with it, I like to know exacts. Figured you would know.. tyia
@@JamieAndrick hi there! Unfortunately I do not know the exact measurements. I haven’t been a Creative Partner for KL in some time and haven’t used their templates in almost as long. Sorry.

The book is updated at of Feb. 2024. I have officially quit the kiwi club so no future updates will be done. I am changing up the book to include other companies like Queen & Co. and Elizabeth Crafts. Those are currently in work!

Beautiful layout! What was the magic tool you used to make the heart?
It was called the magic matter. they are metal disks that created an offset of 1/8, 1/4/ 1/2 and 1' offset lines. How long is the perimeter of a disk?
The perimeter is the outside distance of the circe, I have no idea how big that is. The diameter (size from left to right) is approximately 5.5 inches. Hope that is what you wanted to know.
What about the photo??
You use the same template as a sizing guide. The best photos to use for viewmaster style embellishments are the index prints. Another great way to print smaller photos is to use the SELPHY and print index prints that way. Also the beauty of this one is that if you want larger photo spots you can easily do that by simply not cutting the inside squares, and instead just cropping the photos you want into the size you want. Hth

Welcome to my channel!! <3 I purchased it a long time ago from Scrapbook.com if memory serves. To my knowledge that die has been retired, but you might still be able to find it on e-bay or Etsy. There are other companies that currently have dies like that, but not that specific size/look.

I loved your tip when cutting out a template, and when your cutting a very small area cutting from the outside in on each side...then move that tiny piece to the back to snip it off! I tried today and now I don’t get that fold in the paper when I cut it from the front! 🥳

I like the tip about using a dry erase pen on the templates.
It can mark them up slightly depending on which ones you use, but definitely helpful with measurements and such!! :)
